Hey, you just got a new Remarkable 2 and that is perfect!
Well, the reason you buy a Remarkable 2 is for taking notes. It is not just for todos (which by the way can be better managed by Tools such as Notion, Things 3 or even iOS reminder) but for writing like writing on a paper. But since you have an e-ink screen, why not read books on it? It is bigger than Kindle and you can write notes while reading!
#2 How do you transfer books to Remarkable 2?
If you have a PDF or epub available and that book is not DRM protected, you can drag and drop the file using Remarkable desktop app.
#3 Where do I find legal PDF or epub books?
Google free books that are classical and not copyrighted such as https://standardebooks.org, but you can also use Libby and your library card, or buy from Kindle book from Amazon.
#4 How do I transfer ebooks from Libby/Kindle to Remarkable 2?
Step 1: Open https://libbyapp.com on your desktop and find the book you borrowed, and choose to read with other options -> epub. And download the acsm file
Step 2: Download and install Adobe Digital Editions and drag the acsm file to Adobe Digital Editions. Now you will download the file and you may be asked to authorize the computer and choose to authorize without vendor ID. Then after book is downloaded, right click the book in the library and find file in Finder (Mac)
Step 3: Download DRM removal tool such as https://www.ebook-converter.com/epub-drm-removal.htm or Calibre with plugin. Note this must be the book you own otherwise you are not legally allowed to remove DRM. Drag the epub file to the tool and you will get the non DRM version of the book. Epub or PDF at your choice.
Step 4: Drag it to Remarkable 2. Note large books take a long time to load!
#5 Tips on reading with Remarkable 2
Dictionary? There are some Github project but nothing really stands out as Kindle or Boox Air 2
