Andy Weir became famous due to instant success of Martian (both the novel and Matt Daemon Movie). Internet is opinionated about Andy because he is only good at one type of Sci Fi story and writing is sometimes cringy.

If you have not read any of his novels, read Martian and Project Hail Mary. If you have, don't read Artemis because it is not worth it.

#1 Martian

Movie is great, novel is.... better.

#2 Project Hail Mary

Novel is good, movie in production.

And let me repeat, Artemis is a flop.
